About Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State Medical University.
Established in 1918, because the 1st ever European customary university within the Caucasus region, the Ivane Javakhishvili capital of Georgia State University combines Georgian values of education with world category standards.
The idea of the institution of this university had taken roots early within the 19th century once Georgia was still troubled to free itself from the shackles of the Russian empire.
A professor by profession who had studied in Petersburg, Ivane Javakhishvili started structuring the Georgian university throughout early 20th century. Throughout the first stages of the Russian Revolution in 1917, Javakhishvili, who was in Petersburg, had already started about to establish the higher establishment.
